Dr. Segal is a forensic psychiatrist, medically licensed in Arizona. He graduated from the ACGME Accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, Institute of Psychiatry, Law, and Behavioral Science in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Segal is a Board Certified in General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry.

Dr. Segal's forensic services are designed to provide objective, unbiased opinions to Probation Officers, Judges, Defense, Prosecution and Plaintiff Attorneys on Psychiatric-Legal issues.

Services include psychiatric evaluations of individuals and consultations on mental health issues in a variety of civil and criminal arenas, such as: competency and sanity evaluation and restoration; dangerousness; disposition and treatment; mitigation; psychiatric autopsy investigation; decision making capacities; civil commitment; personal injury and disability; and family issues including divorce and child abuse.

Dr. Segal is experienced in providing reports and consultation in confidential settings. His reports were used in several Courts in Los Angeles County, including the largest Mental Health Court in the United States, Los Angeles Superior Court at Department 95. Dr. Segal is also versed in testimony on civil and criminal matters.
